SBB CFF FFS.
Complete renovation of a technical and administrative building on a railway site
We carried out the complete renovation of the glazed envelope of a technical and administrative building belonging to Swiss Federal Railways (SBB CFF FFS), located right alongside the tracks.
The project involved replacing all the existing steel-framed glass facades with higher-performance, more durable aluminium systems. The client opted for black glass on the spandrel panels, giving the building a strong, coherent identity.
Our services also included:
- the storage area shopfronts in a mullion-and-transom system with black glazing,
- complete aluminium flashings (copings, sills and various trims),
- and the installation of two new entrance doors.
Carried out in a live railway environment, this project called for rigorous coordination and precise execution while keeping the site fully operational. A carefully controlled technical intervention, serving the building’s durability and functionality.
